Detailed itinerary for 4 Days Rwanda Gorillas & Golden Monkey Trekking Safari
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali international airport & pick up
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, your safari guide will meet you outside customs and immigration hall, meet and greet then transfer you to hotel in Kigali (15min drive). On arrival at the hotel you will check in followed by dinner.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Have breakfast at hotel then at around 09:00am, you meet your guide, for half day city tour and transfer to Volcanoes national park. On arrival you will check in and have an afternoon optional visit to a cultural village or relaxation at the lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking & visit Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Campus
Enjoy an early morning breakfast (06:00am) and drive to the park headquarters with packed lunch and water. Attend to a briefing by senior park warden on the ‘Dos’ and ‘Don’ts’ while with gorillas.
Gorilla Trekking through steep and slippery Virunga slopes is so strenuous and takes 2-8 hours depending on gorillas’ movements. At least an hour is allocated to the visitors in the presence of the gorilla group. Enjoy all the moments and take your best shots before trekking back to the start point. Return to lodge for lunch and refreshment.
In the evening, you take a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres campus where you learn more about gorillas and conservation efforts. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Golden Monkey trekking & return to Kigali
Have breakfast and go for a golden monkey trekking experience, see the beautiful monkeys and watch how they playfully behave in the bamboo forest. After the golden monkey trek, later transfer back to Kigali.
Depending on your departure flight, you can go for a Rwanda coffee experience with Question Coffee, a purely local Rwanda women project, dinner in Kigali and later transfer to the Airport for departure flight.
